Q: How do I request live quotes from the UK Sameday network?
A. Simply click any of the GET QUOTES buttons on the website or click here.
1. Enter your collection and delivery postcodes.
2. Select your required vehicle (details of what each vehicle can carry is displayed next to vehicle type).
3. Provide some optional (but recommended) load information.
4. Click GET QUOTES and existing users will be asked to log in. New users will be asked to provide a valid email address for verification and to create a password.
Q: How do I book with UK Sameday?
A. Simply click BOOK under your preferred quote and follow the on screen instructions
Q: What happens after I have booked with UK Sameday?
A. You will receive a PRE-BOOKING email, confirming the details provided (please check for any errors and contact us immediately on 01782 703020 if any details need to be changed). The pre-booking information will be sent to your driver, who will accept or decline the booking. Upon acceptance, you will receive an update email from UK Sameday with the vehicle registration, drivers first name and estimated time of arrival at collection.
Q: Can I track where my load is?
A: At the top of every UK Sameday email, you will find a LIVE TRACK button, which will load a map and the last recorded location for your load. You will also receive "milestone" updates via email, such as Arrived at Collection, Goods on Board, Arrived at Delivery and an instant Proof of Delivery, when the booking is completed.
Q: Do I need an account with UK Sameday?
A. You will be asked to provide a few personal details and to validate your email address to create your UK Sameday account and Stripe securely handle all credit card payments for bookings. If you are a limited company and send loads regularly, why not apply for a credit account with us here (subject to status).
Q. How quickly will the UK Sameday driver be at collection?
A. Vans - We aim to be at collection within 30-60 minutes of your booking being assigned to a driver.
A. Trucks - We aim to be at collection within 60-90 minutes of your booking being assigned to a driver.
Q. Will my driver help to load or unload the vehicle?
A. Handball must be pre agreed or will be charged at £12.50+vat every new quarter of an hour (15 minutes), in addition to any excess time on site charges (please see below).
Q. Are there any other extra charges?
A. Vans (up to luton van type) include 30 minutes in their quote to load/unload at each stop. Trucks (7.5t - 44t) include 60 minutes in their quote to load/unload at each stop. Any additional time on site, will automatically be charged as follows:
1. Van : after 30 minutes, on site time is charged at £7.50+vat every 15 minutes
2. Truck : after 60 minutes, on site time is charged at £12.50+vat every 15 minutes
3. After 4 hours on site, day rate will apply (10 hours charge) in addition to the original booking cost.
Q. Will I receive a UK Sameday invoice?
A: YES - You will receive a card receipt email from Stripe at the time of confirming your pre-booking and your UK Sameday invoice will follow shortly after your proof of delivery has been submitted.
Q: What if I need to cancel my UK Sameday booking?
A: Please use the CANCEL BOOKING button in the top right hand corner or contact our Operations team here. If your pre-booking is cancelled prior to being assigned to a driver, a full refund will be given, which normally takes 5-7 days (Stripe terms). If your pre-booking has been accepted by your driver and you wish to cancel, the following charges will apply :
1. More than 24 hours notice - No charge
2. Less than 24 hours notice - 50% charge
3. Less than 4 hours notice - 75% charge
4. Vehicle on site - 100% charge
